Free flicks this weekend: Get primed for the Aug. 14 Seattle premier of “Shrek the Musical” with a free showing of the movie “Shrek the Third” Friday in Everett.
As part of its Cinema Under the Stars series, the city of Everett plans to show the hit animated film, which grossed $323 million in 2007, at Thornton A. Sullivan Park, 11405 Silver Lake Road.
If green ogres make you blue, however, try to catch “Field of Dreams” on Saturday night. Part of Marysville’s Popcorn in the Park series, the 1989 Kevin Costner movie will be screened at the Northpointe Park ballfield, 7818 70th St. NE.
Both films begin at dusk.
