50 YEARS AGO (1959)

Wes Ingrum, 616 Casino Road, was named the new assistant manager of Everybody’s in the B&M shopping center. A 1956 graduate of Everett High School, he had been with Everybody’s since 1957. Ingrum also had worked at the Everybody’s stores in Lynnwood and Fairbanks, Alaska.

Dr. Marvin West, optometrist, now had his office open every Wednesday at the Darrington hospital. The son of Mr. and Mrs. L.E. West, he graduated from Darrington High School in 1948. A graduate of Pacific University, he resided in Oak Harbor where he also had a practice.

25 YEARS AGO (1984)

The Milltown Sailing Association was holding an open house at the Foss Tug Launch, Pier C at the Port of Everett. They welcomed sailors or would-be sailors interested in the family-oriented organization. More information could be gained by calling Dottie Viesca-Haage.

Victor and Eleanore Staiff of Sultan had in their yard a volunteer sunflower plant with 17 blossoms on a single stalk, about a dozen of which were currently in bloom. The plant apparently sprouted from a seed leftover from last year.
