Everett’s Christmas boats would parade on the waterfront between the 10th Street Boat Launch and Mukilteo on Saturday night. The U.S. Coast Guard cutter Doran was scheduled to lead the vessels as they left the Everett Yacht Club.
The parade of gaily decorated boats had been held each of the past nine years.
The owner of a $100,000 house in Edmonds would pay $11 more in property taxes next year. The Edmonds City Council approved an increase to avoid making $138,830 in cuts. Edmonds had one of the lowest property tax levels in the state, according to a study distributed by Mayor Larry Naughten.
