50 YEARS AGO (1959)
Haynes Thompson, Palmer-specific chiropractics, held an open house in the practice’s new location at 1313 Hewitt Ave., Everett. The firm was operated by Dr. Charles G. Haynes and Dr. Arthur Thompson, both graduates of the Palmer School of Chiropractics in Davenport, Iowa.
Members of the senior class of Lake Stevens High School were presenting the comedy “Cheaper by the Dozen” this weekend in the Mount Pilchuck multi-purpose room. In leading rolls were Richard Carlson, Kathryn McDaniel, Dennis McFarland and Sharon Forsberg.
25 YEARS AGO (1984)
When Glenn White of Granite Falls returned to the Northwest after 20 years in the Air Force, he brought along the fruits of two decades of avid collecting, including a pet boa constrictor, hundreds of ancient Egyptian artifacts and souvenirs from service with Air Force One.
Pelican Pete’s, new in the Everett Marina Village, invited the public to join it for Thanksgiving dinner. Diners could watch the games, visit with friends and enjoy a meal of turkey with oyster stuffing, mashed potatoes with gravy, fresh cooked vegetables, cranberry sauce, bread, and pumpkin or apple pie.
