Special film showings around Snohomish County

“Moana”: The Downtown Everett Association offers a free showing of the movie at about 8:45 p.m. July 29 on the Snohomish County Plaza, 3000 Rockefeller Ave. Other movies scheduled there are “Back to the Future” on Aug. 5 and “Sing” on Aug. 12.

“Finding Dory”: The movie will be shown free as part of Marysville’s Popcorn in the Park Series at dusk July 29 at Jennings Memorial Park, 6915 Armar Road, Marysville. More information is at marysvillewa.gov/698/Summer-Movies-in-the-Park. “Rogue One” plays on Aug. 5 and “Zootopia” on Aug. 12.

Stanley Kubrick Film Series: “A Clockwork Orange” will be shown at noon Aug. 30 at the Evergreen Branch Library, 9512 Evergreen Way, Everett. Free.

Reel World Cinema: Free movie Fridays twice monthly in the Calvin Lounge at First Presbyterian Church, 2936 Rockefeller Ave., Everett. Potluck at 6 p.m. Movie at 7 p.m. Discussion follows. On July 28, the movie is “Lady Sings the Blues” about the life of Billie Holiday with Diana Ross in the starring role. On Aug. 4, the movie is “Bound for Glory,” the 1976 Hal Ashby film about Woody Guthrie, starring David Carradine. Free.

Everett’s Sail-In Cinema: Friday evenings at dusk through Aug. 25 at Boxcar Park, 1200 Millwright Loop W., on the Everett waterfront. Sail in to watch by boat or bring a low-back chair and blanket to watch from the park. Gates open at 7 p.m. Admission is free. Scheduled are “Jurassic Park” on July 28, “Captain America” on Aug. 4, “Field of Dreams” on Aug. 11, “Zootopia” on Aug. 18 and “Top Gun” on Aug. 25. More at www.waterfront-place.com/sailin. Free.

Park Ridge Films in the Field: Park Ridge Community Church, 3805 Maltby Road, Bothell, offers free films at dusk on Wednesdays during the summer. “Moana” on Aug. 2, “Ben-Hur” on Aug. 9 and “Sing” on Aug. 16. Free.

Lake Stevens Movies in the Park: At dusk Aug. 11 in Lundeen Park, 10020 Lundeen Parkway, the city will show “The Princess Bride,” followed by “Moana” on Aug. 25. Free.
