Warning, if you start watching the video discussed here, you could be in for more than a snack. This is more like a feature-length meal, albeit cut-up into 15-second bites.
What we have here is the original “Star Wars” movie, since retitled “Star Wars IV: A New Hope,” cut up into 15-second bits, refilmed by a legion of fans and spliced together, as a scene-by-scene homage to the original. The result is “Star Wars Uncut,” featuring scenes filmed in live action, computer, stop-action and traditional animation, drawings and even cameos by Legos, Abraham Lincoln and Alfalfa from “The Our Gang” black and white comedies.
The project was launched and organized by Casey Pugh, a web developer for Vimeo, who promises more such Uncut movies that you’ll be invited to contribute to in the future.
If you don’t have time to watch the entire project, check out the top scenes.
