Whether you like the popular classics of Bob Dylan or want to get mellow with a mandolin medley or bust a move to some gutsy banjo riffs, the third annual Bluegrass and Folk Festival in Mukilteo is singing your song.
The Mukilteo Arts Guild presents this year’s festival, set for 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday at the Whidbey Coffee and Cafe Courtyard, 619 Fourth St., Mukilteo. Admission is free.
The event brings together some leading folk and bluegrass musicians from the Puget Sound region to Whidbey Coffee and Cafe to perform for free in an outdoor venue overlooking Possession Sound.
“The Mukilteo Bluegrass and Folk Festival is a grassroots event that is becoming more popular each year,” said arts guild spokeswoman Christine Awad Schmalz. “It brings to mind the old adage that good things in life are free.”
