In an odd bit of scheduling strategy, The CW network put its crown jewel of a sitcom, “Everybody Hates Chris,” against Sunday Night Football all around the country.
The second season of “Chris” premieres at 7 p.m. Sunday on KSTW, Channel 11. I just want to make sure even non-football fans don’t miss it as it airs earlier than the traditional primetime start at 8 p.m.
“Chris” enchanted us in its debut season as we followed a fictionalized account of comedian Chris Rock’s childhood in New York. The second season premiere brings a guest appearance by comedian Whoopi Goldberg, who plays Louise, a woman from Queens who moves in next to Chris’ family.
Young Chris has the hots for Louise’s granddaughter and with an episode title like “Everybody Hates Rejection,” we can expect our hero might be on the broken-hearted end of the deal.
