And you have several dates to choose from as this year’s gypsy jazz event, DjangoFest NW — in its 11th season — goes for five days on Whidbey Island.
The lineup features violinist and composer Mark O’Connor, a native of Mountlake Terrace, with his Hot Swing band.
Also on tap is gypsy guitarist Stochelo Rosenberg joined by the Biel Ballester Trio from Barcelona, a first for U.S. audiences. Also special this year, Howard Alden will be joined by Anat Cohen from Tel Aviv for a guitar-clarinet duet.
Guitarists Gonzalo Bergara and Adrien Moignard team up for a classic performance.
DjangoFest promises some surprises as well along with numerous impromptu “djam” sessions, according to the press material.
Djangofest runs from Wednesday to Sundayat Whidbey Island Center for the Arts, 565 Camano Ave., Langley, and Langley Middle School, 723 Camano Ave.
