“The Snow Queen”: See the story performed by the Russian Children’s Theater at 3 p.m. Sunday at the Mountlake Terrace Library, 23300 58th Ave. W. The story is about the strength and endurance of childhood friendship. The show is in Russian and is for children 5 and older. More here.
Artifact ID Day: Have a crazy or cool object that you want to know more about? Bring it to the Burke Museum of Natural History, 4331 Memorial Way NE, Seattle, from 1 to 3:30 p.m. Saturday. Curators, collections managers and volunteers from the ethnology and archaeology divisions at the museum will identify visitors’ natural and cultural artifacts. Bring Native American, Asia and Pacific Islands cultural objects, artifacts, rocks, feathers, shells and fossils. No appraisals will be given. Limited to three items per person. Past discoveries include a dinosaur egg and a 5,000-year-old stone tool. Included with museum admission.

“The Morris”: Everett Public Library brings the Mossybacks back to celebrate the new year, and this time the Morris Men might bring their antlers. They look like deranged chimney sweeps, but the Mossyback Morris Men are just performing an ancient British form of ritual dance called “The Morris,” which celebrates the good Earth and its seasons. The program begins at 2 p.m. Sunday in the library auditorium, 2702 Hoyt Ave., Everett.
“The Book of Mormon”: The run is almost over and most tickets are nearly sold out, but if you take your chances on a lottery a few hours before the show, you could get tickets for $25. And, as our reviewer explains, it’s worth the effort.
