The comedy is about friendships that last a life time. Five Southern women who met on their college swim team set aside a weekend each August at the same beach house for time to laugh and meddle in each other’s lives. The play is by the writers of Phoenix’s last season hit “Hallelujah Girls.” Starring Susan Connors, Jeannie Early, Bonnie Ronan, Ana Marie Lake and Melanie Calderwood.

The seventh annual Festival of Shorts is July 8-10, featuring short plays by playwrights from around the country. Audiences pick the winner.

Red Curtain: Red Curtain Foundation for the Arts, a nonprofit arts education organization, has launched an effort to create an arts center in Marysville. The 2016-17 season at the Red Curtain Community Arts Center features “The Fantasticks,” “Arsenic and Old Lace,” “You Can’t Take It With You,” “Santa Claus Conquers the Martians,” “A Streetcar Named Desire” and “Noises Off!” Season tickets are $92 for adults and $75 for seniors, students and military personnel.
