VANCOUVER, Wash.— A Camas woman who couldn’t afford college left $1.3 million after her death to scholarships for Washington State University Vancouver.
The Columbian reports the gift from Kathy Sinclair is designed to help middle-class students from the community who are working their way through college.
Sinclair died in February at the age of 89. Her husband, Glen Sinclair was a former Camas police chief who died in 1991.
