EVERETT — Two men were in custody on warrants for East Coast crimes Wednesday after crashing a car the night before while trying to evade police in Snohomish County.
The pair — an Everett man, 25, and his passenger, 23 — refused to pull over when the Snohomish County Violent Offender Task Force attempted an 8 p.m. traffic stop along I-5 south of Everett.
The fleeing car reached speeds above 100 mph, the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office reported. It crashed near the NE 175th Street offramp.
The Everett man was arrested on a Maryland warrant alleging three counts of aggravated assault with a firearm. The passenger was wanted on a felony fraud warrant from New York, the sheriff’s office reported.
