EVERETT — A 14-year-old driver died and three teen passengers were injured early Saturday after a vehicle crash on I-405 near the Canyon Park neighborhood of Bothell.
Around 1:50 a.m. Saturday, the young teen was driving a Honda CR-V north on I-405 near milepost 26 when he left the roadway, hit a guardrail and came to rest at the bottom of an embankment, according to a Washington State Patrol press release.
The driver from Bellevue was declared deceased at the scene. Three other teenagers in the car, including one from Everett, were transported to a nearby hospital, where they were treated for their injuries.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
