19-year-old shot in leg during Everett-area invasion robbery

Two males reportedly entered the victim’s home and demanded money. Then shots were fired.

EVERETT — A man was shot in the leg during a home-invasion robbery Sunday evening in the Silver Lake area.

Around 10:20 p.m., a robbery was reported in the 4300 block of 108th Street SE near Everett. Deputies with the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office arrived and found a 19-year-old man with a gunshot wound. It was not considered to be life-threatening, the sheriff’s office said in a news release.

Deputies were told that two masked males entered the home, demanded money and electronics, and shot multiple rounds, for which shell casings were recovered. The suspects left, and a police dog team couldn’t find them.

The sheriff’s office continues to investigate the crimes.
