TUKWILA — A witness told police a car was traveling at a high rate of speed when it missed a curve and flew into the Green River at Tukwila.
Sgt. Todd Rossi said the crash before 2 a.m. killed a man and a woman.
The bodies were discovered as the car was being pulled out of the water.
Police spokesman Mike Murphy said there had been street racing Thursday night in the area, but the car apparently was not involved in a race at the time of the crash.
The car is registered to an owner in Renton.
