YAKIMA — Two teens who were shot Tuesday on a Yakima sidewalk remain in critical condition Wednesday.
Police Capt. Rod Light said a 17-year-old who was shot in the back is in Harborview Medical Center in Seattle and a 15-year-old who was shot in the head is in a Yakima hospital, but may be moved to another hospital.
Both were apparently shot from behind with a large-caliber handgun.
The Yakima Herald-Republic reported that police believe it was a gang-related shooting. It took place around 11 a.m. at an intersection three blocks from the police station.
