MARYSVILLE — Police say a fire at an abandoned house Sunday afternoon was arson.
Fire crews were called about 3:40 p.m. to an abandoned home in the 500 block of Alder Avenue. A column of smoke could be seen from a mile away, Marysville Fire District spokeswoman Kristen Thorstenson said.
The house already had been gutted by a fire about a year ago, which started from a candle.
Firefighters quickly contained the fire. No injuries were reported.
Police are investigating.
