Army Staff Sgt. Tyler Fosheim recently graduated from a 10-week Army Ranger training program at Fort Benning, Ga. Fosheim is a 2000 graduate of Cascade High School. He currently serves in the 3rd battalion, 509th infantry (airborne) stationed in Fort Richardson, Alaska. Fosheim previously served with the Stryker Brigade in Iraq and is a Purple Heart recipient. He is the son of Gene and Sue Fosheim of Everett and Kelcey Fosheim of Everett.
Army Reserve Pfc. Amy M. Schroeder has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C. Schroeder is the daughter of Ken Schroeder of Everett. The private graduated from a home school program in 1995, and earned an associate degree in 2004 from Everett Community College.
Army Reserve Pvt. Marco A. Bedker has graduated from basic military training at Fort Sill, Lawton, Okla., to become a member of the Army National Guard or Reserve Split-option Program. The program allows students between their junior and senior year of high school to attend National Guard or Reserve weekend drills while still in school and pursue a military career specialty after they graduate from high school. He is the son of Mark and Susana Bedker of Stanwood.

Air Force Airman 1st Class Tyler C. Rico has graduated from the Air Traffic Control Operations Apprentice Course at Keesler Air Force Base, Biloxi, Miss. Rico is scheduled for an assignment to the 80th Operations Support Squadron at Sheppard Air Force Base, Wichita Falls, Texas. He is the son of Esteban and Sheri Rico of Oak Harbor and is a 2007 graduate of Oak Harbor High School.
