Army Staff Sgt. Jacob M. Mitchell of Stanwood recently graduated from the two-year Special Forces Green Beret program at Fort Bragg, N.C. He was ranked first in his class by his peers in the final phase of the program. Mitchell served 15 months in Iraq and is now stationed at Fort Lewis. He attended Stanwood High School and is the son of Mike Mitchell and Leslie Andres, both of Stanwood.
Army Pvt. Prabhdeep Singh has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C. He is the son of Kashmir Singh of Mountlake Terrace and a 2006 graduate of Jackson High School in Mill Creek.
Army Reserve Pvt. Jennifer M. Hoeppner has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C. She is the daughter of Charles Hoeppner of Marysville and a 2007 graduate of Marysville-Pilchuck High School.
