Air Force Airman 1st Class Brittney A. McMurphy has graduated from the air traffic control operations apprentice course at Keesler Air Force Base, Biloxi, Miss. Her next assignment will be with the 366th Operations Support Squadron, Mountain Home Air Force Base, Idaho. McMurphy is the daughter of Willard McMurphy of Bellingham, and granddaughter of Pam McMurphy of Marysville.

Army Reserve Pvt. Christopher J. Yzaguirre has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Knox, Ky. Yzaguirre is the son of Pete Yzaguirre of Marysville and Tina Gorman of Yakima.

Army Spec. William D. Leight has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C. He is the son of Jean Leight of Snohomish. Leight graduated in 2002 from Snohomish High School and in 2007 from Western Washington University.
