Army Reserve Pvt. Winfred D. Smith II has graduated from the light-wheel vehicle mechanic advanced training course at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C. Smith is the son of Brenda Banks of Everett. He is a 2001 graduate of Meadowdale High School.
Scott L. Steffen has graduated from Officer Candidate School at Fort Benning, Columbus, Ga., and was commissioned as a second lieutenant in the U.S. Army. Steffen is the son of Joseph and Sharon Steffen of Snohomish. He graduated in 1999 from Snohomish High School and received a bachelor’s degree in 2003 from Central Washington University.
Army Reserve Pvt. Mickey J. Myers has graduated from the heavy-wheeled vehicle mechanic advanced individual training course at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C. He is the son of Lesli Myers of Oak Harbor.
Army Pvt. Genevieve S. Moeai has graduated from the heavy-wheeled vehicle mechanic advanced individual training course at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C. A 2003 graduate of Oak Harbor High School, Moeai is the daughter of Barbara and Donald Pearson of Oak Harbor.
Air Force Airman 1st Class Chad G. Neil has graduated from basic training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. Neil is the son of Bruce and Gail Neil of Oak Harbor. He graduated in 1996 from Oak Harbor High School and received a bachelor’s degree in 2003 from Central Washington University.
