Air Force Airman Dustin Johnson graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. He is the son of Kevin and Janie Johnson of Bothell.
Navy Seaman Recruit Brianna Brady, daughter of Deanne and Bryan Brady of Granite Falls, recently completed basic training at U.S. Navy Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill. Brady is a 2009 graduate of Granite Falls High School.
Navy Petty Officer 3rd Class Franchesca Thomas currently is serving at the U.S. Naval Base, Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. Thomas is a detainee operations guard force member. She is the daughter of Patricia and Vernon Thomas of Everett, and is a 2008 graduate of Everett High School.
Army Pvt. Justin Cobbs has graduated from the Infantryman One Station Unit Training at Fort Benning, Columbus, Ga. The training consists of basic infantry training and advanced individual training. Cobbs is the son of Eric Cobbs and Kathy Cobbs, both of Arlington.
Air Force Airman Michael Case graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. He is the son of DeMotte Case of Everett and Lorri Nealy of Shoreline. Case is a 2008 graduate of Shorewood High School.
Whidbey Island Naval Air Station’s Electronic Attack Squadron 134 “Garudas” has returned home from Afghanistan after six months of combat operations. Maintenance and support personnel and the squadron’s four EA-6B Prowler jets and 16 aviators recently completed a fifth deployment to Afghanistan. For many, it was their was their third deployment in three years.
