LAKE STEVENS — An armed robbery suspect was arrested Thursday by Lake Stevens police.
Two employees of a Qdoba were cleaning up the fast food restaurant around 11:50 p.m. Nov. 27, when a gunman in a hoodie walked in and ordered them to get on the ground, according to police.
The man stole about $1,000 from a safe. He fled in a car, Lake Stevens police Cmdr. Jeffrey Beazizo said.
Police released still images from security footage the next day, and asked for help to identify the robber. Tips pointed officers to a Sultan man, 26, a relative of a former employee who was recently fired from the Qdoba.
Officers served a search warrant Thursday at a Sultan home, and arrested a suspect. He was booked into Snohomish County Jail for investigation of first-degree robbery and second-degree theft. He asked for a lawyer and did not answer questions from police, Beazizo said.
Detectives are investigating whether the suspect had help.
