Marketing workshops planned for merchants
A series of marketing workshops to help local merchants through revitalization projects in downtown Bothell is planned to begin later this month.
The first workshop in the series is scheduled for 2:30 to 5:30 p.m. Feb. 28 at the North Creek Events Center, 18115 Campus Way NE. The cost is $35.
Workshops are open to merchants in King and Snohomish counties.
The workshops are planned to run for several years and are expected to include free one-on-one business counseling sessions.

City seeking advisory board volunteers
Everett is seeking volunteers for the following advisory boards:
Historical Commission: Advises the city on matters of history and preservation. It meets at 7 p.m. the second Wednesday of each month.
Transportation Advisory Board: Advises the city on traffic issues, traffic safety, transit service and transportation planning. It meets at 8:15 a.m. the third Thursday of each month.
Animal Shelter Advisory Committee: Advises the city on issues concerning animal control. It meets at 6:30 p.m. the fourth Wednesday of each month.
