EVERETT — A generous donation will be in use at Domestic Violence Services of Snohomish County this year.
Just last week, 1st Security Bank of Washington gave the nonprofit a 2001 Ford Windstar van.
Employees will use the van to transport clients, shop for shelter supplies and take children on outings, deputy director Vicci Hilty said.
“This sweet ride has just about 60,000 miles on it and runs like a charm,” she said. “We are so very honored to receive this perfect size van for our shelter.”
The nonprofit, which serves domestic-violence victims and promotes community awareness surrounding domestic-violence issues, is grateful for the gift, executive director Margaret Bruland said.
“They have truly touched our hearts,” she said.
