GOLD BAR — A 3-year-old boy nearly drowned Saturday in a pool at the Gold Bar Nature Trails campground.
The incident was reported just before 5:30 p.m., Gold Bar Fire Chief Eric Andrews said.
The boy’s mother had started CPR and he regained consciousness. He was crying when crews arrived. He was taken to a local hospital. An update on his condition was not available.
The campground is along May Creek Road.
The Everett Fire Department also reported a water rescue Saturday near the mouth of the Snohomish River. Two adults and three children were on a 17-foot powerboat that capsized. It apparently had become tangled in crab lines. Another boater picked them up and took them to a rescue boat. They were unhurt.
