Clothing and school supplies: Sanctuary Ministries will hold a Back to School Clothing and School Supply Giveaway 10 a.m.-noon today. Gently used clothes available for children in elementary school through high school, including coats, sweatshirts and shoes. There will be school supply kits, hot dogs, chips, juice, and free face painting, while supplies last. The church also provides gently used clothes throughout the year in its Care Center 10:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. every Thursday. Rock the Block Party: View Ridge Community Church, 4800 Dogwood Drive, Everett, will host a Rock the Block Party 11 a.m.-2 p.m. today. Public invited for a free barbecue, kids’ haircuts and mini-spa treatments for mothers. Waterfront worship: Everett’s Spirit of Grace United Methodist Church will hold two special services Sunday, at 9:30 a.m. and 11 a.m., in the conference area of the Inn at Port Gardner, 1700 West Marine View Dr., on Everett’s waterfront. Back to School Carnival: A free carnival with a bouncy house, food, face painting, games and school supply raffle is scheduled for 1-4 p.m. Sept. 1 at Pinehurst Baptist Church, 1902 Madison St., Everett.
End of Summer Concert: Everett’s First Presbyterian Church will present Summer Aire, a group of singers from the Everett Chorale and First Baptist, First Congregational, First Presbyterian, Our Savior’s Lutheran and Westminster Presbyterian churches, at a concert and ice cream social at 3 p.m. Sept. 9.
