Ballentine and Lane

Kelley Wiley Ballentine of Tallahassee, Fla., and Reed Thomas Lane of Snohomish plan an Aug. 15 wedding.

Their parents are Thomas Ballentine and Sue Wiley, and Scott and Tanya Lane.

Kelley is a 2005 graduate of New College of Florida. Reed received his master’s degree in 2003 from the University of Washington.

Anniversaries

Niemi

Al and Thelma Niemi of Snohomish will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a vacation.

The couple were married May 2, 1959.

Al and Thelma have three children and one grandchild.

Card

Clarence and Pat Card of Everett celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary with a party given by their children April 26.

The couple were married April 28, 1949.

Clarence and Pat have six children.

In 2023, a jury ruled the state must pay $3 million to the victim of a Monroe cop’s abuse. The state argued the jury should not have been allowed to decide the case.
