Advise: Volunteers needed for farm committee
The Island County Board of Commissioners is looking for people to serve on the county agriculture advisory committee. The five-member committee represents the farming community to help the county assessor’s office implement assessment guidelines.

Scouts prepared to take your tree
The Boy Scouts of America Christmas tree recycling collection day is set for Saturday.
Go to http://dryneedles.com to find an interactive map that identifies the Scout troop assigned to your neighborhood. Click on your neighborhood and a balloon containing instructions from your troop should appear.
Operation Dry Needles has been operating in Snohomish and Island counties for more than 20 years.
Donations for this service help provide funds for summer camps, camping gear, leadership training and covers the cost of the recycling effort.

Give: Volunteer to help patients
Hospice &Home Care of Snohomish County is looking for volunteers.
These volunteers are needed to visit patients, deliver supplies, work in the office and to help with events.
Information sessions are offered from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m. on the third Wednesday of each month. Providence Hospice &Home Care of Snohomish County is located at 2731 Wetmore Ave., Suite 500, in Everett.
