EVERETT — Community Transit is seeking gifts of toys, clothes and other items to fill a bus with donations as part of a “Stuff-a-Bus” event beginning Friday.
The regional transit agency will accept donations from 12 to 4 p.m. on Friday and Saturday at the Fred Meyer in Monroe, located at 18805 Highway 2 in Monroe. Community Transit is working alongside Volunteers of America Western Washington to provide the donations to preschool children and their families who are enrolled in the nonprofit’s early childhood education program.
Community Transit is looking for donations of stuffed animals, puzzles, board games, sports balls and gear, arts and crafts, as well as diapers, hand soap, socks, and other clothing items, the agency wrote in a press release Monday.
Everett Transit is also hosting “Stuff-a-Bus” event running through Dec. 14, where donations can be made from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday at the Fred Meyer at 12906 Bothell-Everett Highway.
