EVERETT — A bomb scare at the Snohomish County Courthouse just before 1 p.m. today sent hundreds of people into the cold while officials searched the courthouse and other county buildings.
There was no immediate reason to believe the threat was credible, Everett police Sgt. Robert Goetz said.
Snohomish County Courthouse marshals searched the buildings and parking garage, standard procedure during a bomb threat, he said.
Several hundred county employees were forced to wait in a wintry mix of snow and rain.
Nearby coffee shops and restaurants were packed as people tried to get out of the cold and wet.
There were no immediate suspects, Goetz said.
