SPOKANE — A city “do not occupy” order is the latest roadblock to plans to redevelop Spokane’s historic Ridpath Hotel.
The city says the building cannot be occupied because the fire suppression system isn’t working.
Developer Stephen Antonietti told KREM the system failed tests because of renovation work.
He says if there are more setbacks he may have to abandon his plan to reopen 100 rooms in the Ridpath in a little more than a year.
