Driver reportedly flees after hitting pedestrian on I-5 ramp

The man was walking across the southbound on-ramp from Broadway in Everett. The driver reportedly was in a Toyota pickup truck.

EVERETT — A driver allegedly hit a man walking across an on-ramp from Broadway to I-5 and fled Wednesday evening.

The man was walking on the southbound on-ramp to the freeway when a driver in a Toyota Tacoma truck reportedly hit him around 9:37 p.m. The pedestrian ended up on the right shoulder, and the driver allegedly drove away, according to the Washington State Patrol.

Troopers were investigating.
