STANWOOD — A driver was airlifted in critical condition Wednesday to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle after driving a car off southbound I-5 near Stanwood, according to Washington State Patrol.
The car veered off I-5 near Highway 532 into an embankment around 11 a.m. Wednesday, said trooper William Glahn. Southbound I-5 was closed for the airlift for about half an hour.
The cause of the crash was being investigated, Glahn said.
