EVERETT — A fire early Friday morning caused significant damage to a house and two vehicles in Edmonds, according to a social media post from South County Fire.
Just after 4 a.m. Friday, firefighters responded to the home near Lake Ballinger. South County Fire upgraded the response to two alarms because of the size and layout of the property. More than 40 firefighters took over one hour to extinguish the flames. Shoreline Fire Department aided in the response.
No one was home at the time of the fire and no injuries were reported. The flames and smoke destroyed the house’s garage and significantly damaged the main house and two vehicles. Firefighters stopped the flames from spreading beyond the property.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
