Edmonds City Councilwoman Adrienne Fraley-Monillas has indicated her intent to seek re-election.
Fraley-Monillas registered as a candidate with the state Public Disclosure Commission last week, a step that allows her to raise and spend money for the August primary and November general election. Councilman Strom Peterson had registered in mid-February. Appointed Councilwoman Kristiana Johnson, who told the council during the appointment process last year that she would run if appointed, has yet to register with the PDC.
No potential opponents for any of the three incumbents have registered with the PDC.
Candidates file for ballot positions May 13-17.
Fraley-Monillas won election in 2009, when she led now-Councilwoman Lora Petso and then-incumbent Councilman Ron Wambolt in a tight primary and defeated Petso in the general election. Petso joined the council by appointment in 2010 and won a full term in 2011.
Fraley-Monills currently serves as council vice president, as a member of the Council finance committee and as a member of the Citywide Parking Committee, the Disability Committee and the Highway 99 task force.
