EVERETT — The City of Edmonds is seeking an alternate member for its planning board.
A former member of the planning board stepped down this spring, city spokesperson Neil Neroutsos said Monday.
All Edmonds residents are eligible to apply. As an alternate, the resident would attend and participate in all board meetings, voting when a planning board member is absent. The position’s term runs through the end of 2025, after which the alternate could request an appointment to a four-year term.
The planning board advises the City Council on land use issues, including rezoning, comprehensive planning and development code amendments. It meets on the second and fourth Wednesdays of each month.
An application and position description are available on the city’s website. The application deadline is June 25.
