EVERETT — A man and woman were shot and transported to the hospital as the result of a drive-by shooting Friday night in Everett — one of two shootings this weekend on the same street, police said.
Around 10:30 p.m., a person in a vehicle shot into another car in the 4700 block of Colby Avenue, Everett police officer Natalie Given said. The man and woman in the car were transported to Providence Regional Medical Everett where they were believed to be in stable condition, Given said.
Around 12:30 a.m. Saturday, police responded to another report of gunfire in the 2600 block of Colby Avenue, about 2 miles north of the first report. Investigators found six shell casings in the area, but do not believe anyone was injured.
There was no evidence the two shootings were connected, Givens said. Investigators were searching for suspects in both cases.
