Everett Events Center to get new name

The Everett Events Center will be renamed at an announcement set for 8:30 a.m. from the center’s operators. The new name has not been released.

Naming rights for the five-year-old home of the Silvertips hockey team and Everett Hawks indoor football team has been part of the center’s plans since it opened.

Naming rights for public sports and entertainment facilities are usually bought for a number of years by corporate sponsors who have some connection to the local community.
