EVERETT — The man who authorities believe suffered a medical emergency before veering into oncoming traffic on Evergreen Way has been identified.
Around 4:30 p.m. June 25, Eric Due was driving south in the 8500 block of Evergreen Way when he veered into northbound lanes, leading five other cars to crash, Everett officer Natalie Given said last week.
Investigators believed Due, 50, of Everett, suffered a medical emergency before swerving. Paramedics transported him to a nearby hospital, Everett Fire Department spokesperson Rachael Doniger said. He died there.
The Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office hadn’t determined Due’s cause and manner of death as of Monday.
A teen injured in the crash was also taken to the hospital, Doniger said. The teen was released that evening.
