EVERETT — A 21-year-old Everett man is in serious condition in an Everett hospital after suffering multiple gunshot wounds Thursday night.
Police received several calls about the shooting around 7:45 p.m. in the 9200 block of Evergreen Way. Witnesses told police multiple shots were fired after men in separate vehicles met in a vacant lot, police Sgt. Robert Goetz said.
Officers arrived at the scene but saw no suspects or victims. A short time later, the injured man and his girlfriend were located at a gas station on W. Casino Road.
Police said they believe two parties were meeting regarding the sale of a car.
No motive is known, Goetz said, but shots were fired by one suspect. The suspects are known to the victim.
The police department’s major crime unit was at the scene Thursday night collecting evidence.
