Block party: Bethany Christian Assembly Church holds a BCA Kids Club @ Hawthorne Community Barbecue Block Party, 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Sept. 13 on the playfield at Hawthorne Elementary School, 1110 Poplar St., Everett. Lunch, games and fun. Free. The event kicks off the weekly Kids Club, which will meet 9:45-11:30 a.m. Saturday mornings starting Sept. 20 with breakfast snack, group time, activity clubs and a sack lunch to take home. Programs take a Christian perspective.
Friend Day: Bible Baptist Church (805 W. Casino Road, Everett) holds its annual Friend Day event, 11 a.m. Sept. 14 following the morning service. Free gift and barbecue lunch, followed by a 2 p.m. service. More info: 425-353-6200.

Living Interfaith: Living Interfaith starts its 2014-15 year meeting on a different day and at a new location. The first service is 10:30 a.m. Sept. 13 at Good Shepherd Baptist Church, 6915 196th St. SW in Lynnwood. The topic is “An Interfaith Life.” How does an Interfaith sensibility affect how we live and interact with one another?
