EVERETT — Twice in a week, a masked man robbed an ampm store at gunpoint on Everett Mall Way while the same clerk was working behind the counter. The employee believes it was the same man both times, according to Everett police.
The gunman held up the store at 220 SE Everett Mall Way around 10:45 p.m. Feb. 16, wearing black gloves, a black mask with a hole for his eyes and a grayish sweater.
A week later, around 11:55 p.m. Sunday, a man in a different shirt — checkered, black and yellow — robbed the store at gunpoint again. He had a familiar body shape, gun, dark gloves and mask.
A police dog searched around the store but couldn’t find the robber. He was at large this week, and police put out a public bulletin Friday with images from security footage.
