Lynnwood: CO gas sends six to hospital
Six employees at Linton Industries were hospitalized Tuesday afternoon after being exposed to high levels of carbon monoxide.
Employees were using a forklift to move stock inside a building, and carbon monoxide built up, Lynnwood Fire Lt. Roger Portmann said.
Employees reported having headaches and feeling nauseated and weak around 1:30 p.m., Portmann said. They were taken to Stevens Hospital in Edmonds, where their conditions were unavailable because of a federal privacy law.
Portmann said tests found the area had more than 10 times the permissible level of carbon monoxide.
The company has about 90 employees.
Linton Industries is a metal manufacturing company at 6306 202nd St. SW.
