Family used hidden camera to capture abuse

AUBURN — Auburn police say relatives of an 83-year-old woman set up a hidden camera and caught images of her being sexually abused in an adult family home.

Police Cmdr. Mark Caillier says the 67-year-old caregiver was arrested on Thursday night. He was booked into jail on investigation of second-degree rape.

KOMO says he is scheduled to appear in court on Saturday.

KIRO reported that the woman suffered from dementia or a similar problem. Caillier says the woman and 11 other residents were moved out of two adjacent facilities Thursday night.
