SNOHOMISH — Two people who died in a car crash south of Snohomish Wednesday have been identified.
Michele M. Panello, 49, of Snohomish, was taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, where she died later that day of multiple blunt-force injuries, according to the King County Medical Examiner’s Office.
Passenger Tyler L. Ott, 28, of Snohomish, also died of blunt-force injuries, the Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office found.
Around 4 p.m. Wednesday, Panello was stopped on 172nd Street SE at Highway 9 in Clearview. She allegedly began to turn right onto the highway’s northbound lanes, then slowed and instead turned left into the southbound lanes, according to the Washington State Patrol.
A second vehicle reportedly struck the passenger side of Panello’s vehicle. Both came to rest in a ditch. The other driver, a 58-year-old Snohomish man, was not injured, the state patrol noted.
