Father arrested, accused of cutting son’s penis

EVERETT – Police this afternoon arrested a man who allegedly cut his 1-year-old son’s penis.

Emergency crews about 1:20 p.m. responded to an apartment complex in the 2500 block of Rockefeller Avenue where a man in his 20s reportedly had cut his son’s penis, Everett police Sgt. Robert Goetz said.

Medics drove the toddler to a local hospital. He was later taken to Seattle Children’s Hospital.

The child’s injuries did not appear to be life-threatening, Goetz said. Information about the extent of his wounds was not immediately available.

The father was arrested without incident. Detectives from Everett’s special assault unit are investigating. The motive for the boy’s injury is unknown, Goetz said.
