SEATTLE — Federal agents led a three-month investigation of illegal drug and gun dealing in the White Center neighborhood of south Seattle.
The U.S. attorney’s office says operation “Center of Attention” wrapped up this week with 50 arrests on federal and state charges.
Agents with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, King County sheriff’s deputies and officers from other agencies seized 68 guns, 51 pounds of methamphetamine, 10 pounds of powder cocaine, and two pounds of crack cocaine.
U.S. Attorney Jenny Durkan and King County Prosecutor Dan Satterberg told a news conference Friday in Seattle they have a joint commitment to root out crime in the White Center neighborhood.
