TACOMA — Investigators say fire that broke out in a Tacoma pet store filled with people and animals was arson.
Tacoma Fire spokesman Joe Meineke said the fire started Thursday evening in some pet supplies in the retail section of a PetSmart store.
Everyone in the store, including a number of animals, made it out safely.
Damage was estimated at $35,000.
Tacoma police will investigate further.
